The World Fair Trade Tartan (WFTO) has been created to support and promote Fair Trade, The colours reflecting the wider Fair Trade Movement.

The World Fair Trade Tartan for kilts is woven in Scotland By House Of Edgar Weaving Mill and all WFTO accessories woven by World Fair Trade Organisation Members, Made through the 10 Principals of Fair Trade.
